고속 회전으로 인해 세밀한 조절이 어려운 그라인더는 의도와 달리 불규칙한 형상을 만들어낸다.
반듯한 선을 긋고자 하는 의도와 흩어지는 결과가 충돌하며, 그 사이에서 나는 강박 속의 또 다른 자유를 발견한다.
They are produced by carving lines with an electric grinder onto the layered coats of paint.
The grinder, spinning at high speeds and resisting fine control, generates irregular shapes that defy my intentions.
As the intent to draw a perfectly straight line collides with the scattered results, I discover another kind of freedom within that very obsession.
